“Democrats like Budget Chairwoman Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) personify a Judas that has enabled the Corporate-Government Partnership exploiting the working class to breed and thrive in conjunction with the tax avoidance syndicate. America’s moment of peak political corruption arrived with the Clinton Presidency, when Clinton Democrats in partnership with Republicans laid the foundation to strip the working class of their jobs, assets, standard of living and liberties.” – Solonsays.com
Beginning with President Clinton, the Democratic Party has been fully vested partners in building the fascist economic platform that has created the greatest wealth inequality conditions in almost one hundred years. The repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act, trade agreements like NAFTA, multi-trillion dollar levels of gifted capital flowing to the financial community to fund parasitic derivatives, a healthcare system whose cost structure is completely out of control, Federal Reserve monetary policies destroying the purchasing power of the U.S. dollar and institutionalized tax avoidance protecting historical levels of wealth are just a few of the grievances that can be filed against today’s Democratic Party.
You would think that labor leaders would have risen to the occasion by now, in Tea Party fashion, to arrest the Democratic Party’s conversion to fascism under President Clinton. Never in the history of the country has so much political money been squandered for so little in return than organized labor’s political contributions to Democratic Party candidates. Never in the history of the country has so much political capital been squandered for so little in return than President Obama’s first two years in office when Democrats controlled both the White House and Congress.
This begs the question, “WTF has been the mission of the Democratic Party in the epic government run economic class war against the working class?” Since 1980, this class war has been destroying the standard of living of millions of Americans for the sole purpose of creating absolute global profits for corporations and untaxed wealth for their stockholders. The “Happy Days Are Here Again ” prosperity the working class realized after World War II has been virtually destroyed by a long-term trend of encroaching government sponsored fascism given multiple injections of steroids under the Presidential administrations of Clinton, Bush and Obama.
Clinton Democrats still in the Congress, like Majority Whip Senator Dick Durban (D-IL) and Budget Chairwoman Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), stand guard over much of the fascism destroying the working class standard of living and family structure while talking out of the side of their mouth about representing middle class families as a means to hide their collusion with the Republicans. Several weeks ago, Senator Durban appeared on FOX News supporting benefit cuts in Social Security and Medicare even though $70 trillion of household wealth spins in a cycle of perpetual tax avoidance.
No sooner than the ink was dry on the budget compromise hammered out between Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Representative Ryan was again declaring the nation’s entitlement programs the driver of the nation’s deficit and demanding reductions in Social Security and Medicare benefits to be included in the debt ceiling negotiations just weeks away. Neither Representative Ryan nor Senator Murray seem to understand the difference between funded and unfunded government programs. Entitlement programs remain fully funded for the foreseeable future and have loaned over $3 trillion to the government to fund tax cuts for the wealthy.
The simple math of separating the revenues and outlays of Social Security and Medicare from the General Budget discredits the Republican proposition that entitlement programs are the driver of the unfunded budget crisis. On the other hand, the sanctioning by President Obama and leaders of the Democratic Party of this Republican budget fraud where the entitlement programs are concerned exposes their own fraud and betrayal of working class Americans.
When President Clinton turned over the reins to President George W. Bush, the nation was collecting more revenue than it was spending even when factoring out entitlement revenues and outlays. While not the ideological perfect deficit equilibrium that the Tea Party is rabidly seeking today, at least, the nation’s budget was not bleeding red ink for the first time in over 50 years.
By the end of the Bush Presidency, the nation was only collecting 34 cents to every dollar it spent when factoring out entitlement revenues and outlays. In other words, Bush’s tax cuts, his elective political wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the derivative financial crash created by Wall Street irreparably ruptured the nation’s budget.
As Representative Ryan’s Democratic equivalent and chief budget architect, Senator Patty Murray remains silent against the accounting fraud, the corporate agenda and the tax inequality driving the Republican economic platform even though the urgency to stymie and reverse the forces of economic disequilibrium destroying the working class standard of living is as obvious as a herd of elephants stampeding toward her.
Democrats refuse to step up to the bully pulpit and stand for any meaningful structural economic reforms and whimper when offering piecemeal adjustments to the financial and tax policies nurturing America’s fascism. Does President Obama’s call for the wealthy to “pay a little bit more in taxes” fully address the tax inequality standing behind $70 trillion of wealth perpetually spinning in a cycle of tax avoidance?
Now meet Democratic Budget Chairwoman, Senator Wussy Galore (D-WA), the standard-bearer for the Democratic Party who carried a white flag into the budget negotiations with Representative Ryan (R-WI). In reality, her budget deal was nothing more than a low brow cop-out of adding two arbitrary budgets together and dividing the total by two for the sole purpose of providing relief to the military industrial complex from the sequester cuts.
Wuss, coward, spineless, weasel and even reprehensible are much too soft words to describe the Democratic Party’s core leadership moral authority. My characterization of her as “wussy galore” is synonymous with her “profile in cowardice” displayed when confronting America’s institutionalized fascism while flaunting her open ended betrayal of public trust as “the best deal to be had.” Millions of innocent Americans are and will continue to suffer needlessly as the result.
This licentious budget agreement tosses more money to the Defense Department, a government agency that cannot be audited and has already racked up over $8.5 trillion of unaudited spending since 1996. The poor bookkeeping practices at the Pentagon serve the purpose of hiding cost overruns by contractors and profligate waste in almost everything it does. The sequester cuts were a godsend until Representative Ryan and Senator Murphy agreed to have them returned to sender.
Every time the Democrats negotiate the Defense Budget separately from the rest of the budget, they deliberately give away the only leverage they have in the budgetary process so they can declare a “best deal to be had” on the remaining budget negotiations. President Obama pulled this same maneuver in the 2011 “fiscal cliff” budget drama which cleared a path for him to award corporations over $200 billion in tax break extensions while getting peanuts in tax increases from the wealthy on the small pool of their earnings that is not already protected by some tax break.
In addition to releasing the Pentagon from the sequester cuts, Senator Murray’s “best deal” strands the nation’s funded entitlement trust funds to cyclical hostage taking every time the debt ceiling is reached and throws the long-term unemployed out in the cold without denouncing the trade agreements that have been the primary driver destroying American jobs.
As the Republican Party has moved toward the extreme right shifting their speed for greed to a higher level, their Democratic partners, hidden behind the curtain, have had to move to the right as well and assume the role of manager for “trickle down” economic policy.
The disintegration of the Democratic Party into a hapless organization filled with cowardly members that now pledge allegiance to the Corporate-Government Partnership, the Federal Reserve Banking system, the tax avoidance syndicate and foreign policy geared to benefit global corporations and special interest groups at the expense of the average American is one of the most wretched political betrayals in history.
The important difference between the political betrayal of the working class by Democrats and the political exploitation of the working class by Republicans is that you cannot stand up to political tyranny until you know who stands with you. The bottom line is that Democrats have served up the blood and treasure of the working class in silver tray fashion to the tyranny that now governs this country.
I am reminded of the TV spinster and bag lady Gladys Ormphby (Ruth Buzzi on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In). If only Senator Wussy Galore (D-WA) when presented with Representative Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) plan to continue the financial molestation of America’s working class on behalf of corporations, the Federal Reserve banking system and the wealth supremacists had responded by hitting him on the head with her purse. In lieu of her deafening silence, this act would have at least raised expectations if only a feign hope that the Democratic Party was finally going to push back in earnest against America’s entrenched fascism.
